Robert and I were paired after he completed his freshman year of high school. He had always expressed that he wanted to attend a four-year university. Through CASA, I learned about the Orangewood Foundation. Robert and I scheduled a visit there and we both learned of the Guardian Scholarship program. As Robert’s senior year of high school neared, I continued to advocate for him to apply for the Guardian Scholarship program. He was later accepted! Robert has an internal drive to succeed and the resources through CASA have helped him to achieve his goals.
