Ashely’s journey is an amazing one. I met her when she was at risk of being cut off by the state because she was aging out of the system. She was not going to school or working at the time. Her abusive mom was deported, and Ashely was living with thirteen other people. She also had no means of public transportation, so I would drop her off and pick her up from school. Sometimes I would watch her daughter, Vivian, so he can finish school and get her diploma. Currently, she is married to a great guy with a huge loving family. She is finishing her business and will have a happy ending. 

Thank you CASA, for everything you do for foster youth and allowing me to be an advocate. None of these successes would be possible without you, CASA! It takes a village.
