From Bailey:
To me, the CASA organization means companionship and direction. I've been with my CASA, Tiffany, since I was 13 years old and she is like an older sister to me. When I was younger, we would go to plays together, get lunch, and run errands because we both genuinely enjoy running errands. I grew up as an only child and throughout my life, Tiffany has given me guidance on school, friends, career, and life in general. CASA has given me the experience of having an older sister which has been infinitely beneficial to my life.
From Tiffany:
CASA has been a significant part of my life for over a decade. I first heard about CASA in college through my sorority where I participated and led philanthropic efforts to raise money for the organization. After graduating, my first boss was on the Board of Advisors and a former Children’s Champion recipient. I felt it was fate that I needed to get more involved with CASA, and immediately went through training and became an advocate.
I first met sweet Bailey in February 2012. I remember feeling both excited and nervous as I drove to her home, unsure of whether she would be accepting of me as a new friend. I left her home in awe of her sweetness, intelligence, respect, and kindness. Bailey had just turned 14 years old when I met her. Today she is 21 years old, and we are still great friends. I have fond memories of Bailey and me; her starting high school, cheering her on at her color guard competition, our fun outings, attending CASA’s fun events, her acceptance into the Guardian Scholars Program, and both of us getting engaged!
I have watched Bailey grow into a young woman and am immensely proud of the ambitious, organized, kind, polite, and caring person she has become. I know we will be friends for life, and I am beyond grateful for CASA bringing us together.
